Stir up Sunday is fast approaching (24th November), if you don't know what this is, it is the traditional day in which to make your Christmas pudding for, well Christmas! (are you as excited as I am?)
If you are going to be making your first Christmas pudding like me, below is a simple recipe from M&S.
Soak fruit in brandy overnight. Mix together the ingredients and spoon the mix into a pudding basin. Put a circle of baking parchment and foil over the top and make a string handle. Steam the pudding for 6-7 hours. Remove pudding from steamer and store in a cool, dry place until Christmas day. On Christmas day reheat the pudding by steaming again for 1-2 hours. Serve with brandy butter, rum sauce or custard.
If you don't fancy making your own, how about one of their unique puddings;

I don't know about you but I sure do find it tough to be creative in the kitchen mid-week and find myself constantly buying the same things to eat that I am comfortable, confident and feel capable doing after a manic day.
Well M&S have it that much easier by introducing a new Cook With collection allowing us to be more creative in the kitchen, conveniently. I sure am looking forward to trying this new range out, M&S are great for their healthy, convenient and delicious food, most of the time pre-made/prepared for me- this range is still convenient but brings in elements of creativity, a perfect combo.
Over the next few weeks we will be bringing you a sample of some of the recipe cards available in the M&S Cook with range, just print it off and take it to your local M&S to buy your ingredients. Why now show off your creations on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pintrest with the hashtag: #msautumnfood13.
First up will be Perfect Paella, so keep your eye out for this in the next few days.
I will also be trying out some of these collections and will upload my creations and thoughts through my blog post.
